In order to learn with Synthesia, you have to learn the entire thing from memory. That is only a small part of what playing music is all about, but it's the only thing Synthesia teaches you. You learn to press the right keys at the right time. You will make close to no progress using Synthesia every new song that you learn will feel like starting from 0.
