Then I downloaded the latest card drivers from NVidia (ODE version not QNF) and installed them. Still no indication that it finished when it finished, I just waited a few minutes more then rebooted. If I didn't have patience I may have rebooted too early and screwed the whole thing up, but I checked Task Manager and could see the process taking about 20-30% cpu so I just let it go until it calmed down. Installation in Windows was painless for the most part, but you should be aware that there was a very long delay while Windows detected the enclosure and set up the software for it, and there is absolutely no indication that anything is happening.

Everything is far faster than before - very pleased with the upgraded performance. I installed a NVidia Quadro P620 card in the enclosure. I am NOT gaming, I'm primarily running the Adobe Creative Cloud usual suspects: Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, Dreamweaver as well as Autocad and Revit. I am having great success with this Razer Core X external GPU enclosure attached to an Asus Zenbook Deluxe 8th-gen i7 ultrabook. EDIT April 06/2019: I've upgraded my rating because the product really does deserve 5 stars.
